KCTCS Scholars Award Application

Northern Kentucky University welcomes your application for the KCTCS Scholars Award if you are transferring to NKU from the Kentucky Community & Technical College System in either a Fall or Spring Semester. KCTCS Scholars Award recipients are awarded $2,500 annually, which is $1,250 per semester. (Summer not included).

Verify your eligibility:

Please check each line below to ensure your eligibility. All lines must be checked and verified to qualify.

I am a legal resident of the state of Kentucky.

I have completed a minimum of 36 semester hours at a KCTCS community college, and the institution I most recently attended is a KCTCS community college.

I have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and I have not been suspended or dismissed.

I have been accepted for regular admission to a Bachelor’s degree program at NKU, which means I do not have any academic deficiencies that I must remediate.

I have never earned a Bachelor’s degree from any accredited college or university.

I have never enrolled as a degree seeking student at NKU prior to the term I am applying for.

I will begin attending NKU as a degree seeking student.

I will enroll at NKU as a full time student, which means I will register for at least 12 credit hours per semester, in both the Fall and Spring semesters. (Summer transfers are not eligible)

I am not in an Online Accelerated program

I understand the deadline to complete and submit this application is June 15 (for Fall) or November 1 (for Spring) which means my application will not be considered if I apply after that date.
