Enrollment Confirmation Fee Waiver Request

We are excited to welcome you to our incoming class at Northern Kentucky University (NKU). Since federal regulations prohibit the use of federal aid to pay for pre-enrollment fees, NKU has instituted a Fee Waiver Request process. Students who are experiencing extreme financial hardship may request a waiver for their Enrollment Confirmation fee by submitting the following:

  • Completed Fee Waiver Request Form
  • Submit a minimum of one letter or document verifying your extreme financial hardship. (This letter can come from a guidance counselor, high school administrator or a social service agency)
Students will not be eligible to participate in course registration or new student orientation until all fees are paid or waived, so please submit the requested documentation as soon as possible. Your request will be reviewed and a response will be sent to you indicating whether or not the request was approved.
